APRIL 2009 - BOATYARD ACHIEVES CLEAN MARINA DESIGNATION

"By using The Farrow System...This allows us to conform to the DHEC requirements for media blasting."

The Charleston City boatyard is the first and at this time the only boatyard operating in the State of South Carolina who has been recognized for their effort. This certificate is awarded by DHEC, DNR, and the South Carolina Marine Association.

APRIL 2009 - SUSPENSION BRIDGE MAINTENANCE

"On our project, no other method could do what The Farrow System did. It was able to profile both horizontal and vertical surfaces, and had zero environmental impact in our sensitive jobsite."

Can The Farrow System be thought of as a new construction tool? Absolutely! When the Golden Ears Suspension Bridge project in Vancouver could not find a way to scarify new concrete in an environmentally protected area, Farrow had the solution.

MARCH 2009 - GRAFFITI WEAPON

"If you don't counterattack right away, the vandals are encouraged and they win."

Delaware's New Castle County anti-graffiti army has a new weapon on its war on blight. Mike Anderson, a supervisor for the DELDOT maintenance facility, has typically used chemicals and pressure washers to remove graffiti at a cost of hundreds of thousands of dollars to the State. "We've been waiting a long time to get something new," he said.

MARCH 2009 - GRANTS TOMB RESTORATION

"The non-destructive Farrow System process restored the granite to its original condition, and the work went surprisingly quickly - much faster than anyone thought possible!"

After years of neglect plus a losing battle with graffiti vandals, the Overlook Pavilion of the General Grant National Memorial, commonly known as Grant's Tomb, is undergoing a renewal. As part of a priceless national memorial, the Pavilion required only nondestructive cleaning methods. Further complications included a limited budget and tight project deadlines. To accomplish all of this, the National Park Service chose The Farrow System to quickly, safely, and economically clean the structure and bring back its classic beauty.

DECEMBER 2008 - PHYSICAL GRAFFITI

"The moment the fence went up, that was an invitation to make a mess," Abramson said. "It was tagged within a week of the fence going up."

Contractors for Roseland prepped the area around the marble faade of the once-opulent 100-year-old home. However, everything came to a screeching halt when workers from the construction manager, Belle Construction, LLC, showed up for work to find the mansion covered in graffiti.

NOVEMBER 2008 - A NEW TOOL IN CITIES' GRAFFITI FIGHT

"This way here, it will take the tagging off and leave the paint."

City and school workers...gathered in front of a retaining wall...in Auburn last week to plan their fight against a common enemy: graffiti. Buckley maintenance worker Mac McCracken watched as gray paint and two underlying layers of graffiti were removed in 15 minutes, leaving a bare concrete wall.

OCTOBER 2008 - BARE HER BOTTOM

"The Farrow System doesn't make a mess, doesn't destroy the boat. The Farrow System is the best we've ever had."

Eventually the day will come when you have to bare your bottom. No, I don't mean your college reunion or Mardi Gras - I'm talking about stripping your antifouling paint, taking your boat's bottom down to bare surface to prep for fresh primer and paint, to find and repair blisters, for surveying, etc.

SEPTEMBER 2008 - UNDERWATER BULKHEAD CLEANING

When faced with the need to clean underwater structures on the Bay Bridge Tunnel linking the Delmarva Peninsula with the Eastern Shore near Virginia Beach, Pro Con Construction turned to The Farrow System for the answer.

MAY 2008 - SEATTLE ZOO MURAL IS SAVED

"The Farrow System turns back time to uncover a treasured work of art."

When a popular Seattle mural was mistakenly covered with gray paint and feared lost forever, The Farrow System came to the rescue. Surface Cleaning Technologies, the Seattle area Farrow dealer, demonstrated to city officials that The Farrow System could remove the top coat of paint without damaging the mural underneath. See how The Farrow System did the impossible!
